Asherman syndrome

Asherman syndrome is characterized by intrauterine adhesions caused by a trauma to the basal layer of the endometrium, most commonly as a result of dilation and curettage (D&C) or surgery on the uterus. The condition presents with dysmenorrhea and infertility.
